My time in Undergrad
During my time in undergrad, I was fortunate enough to participate in multiple clubs across multiple schools. My freshman year, I was apart of the founding members for the Model United Nations club at NYIT, serving as Treasurer and helping pitch and host multiple campus events that were very successful. I was in charge of the budget proposals, managing our finances, fundraising efforts, and the social media account for the club.
After transferring from NYIT to UML, I joined the Club Field Hockey team, playing as their Goalie for the rest of my time. In my last year, I was honored to be voted as the club president, bringing my responsibilities from just playing to actually running the team. I was in charge of planning practices, games, travel logistics, social media, recruitment efforts, and fundraising efforts. We had a very successful season, starting off strong with winning a grant from the NFHL waiving the regular season dues. We finished in the top 20 for the year, being a potential contender for the finals. We also were fortunate to host the Northeastern Regional Championship for the first time, coming in 4th and strengthening our connection with the league. Finally, I led the fundraising efforts to raise us over $5,000 to put towards our spring tournament, bringing my team to Virginia Beach for a four day tournament that’s always a huge success and bonding moment. We were nominated for Club Sport of the year as well!
